It's a nice change to see people posting again for the first time in a long time from class. Albeit, it is a grade, and its the day before the final. Oh well. I guess I'll post one last post :)
i was talking to Millie yesterday, and I think I want to paint old figure drawings. At least, I want to try it and see how it goes. I'll be perusing through my old drawings and making a few attempts over the break. I love the skeleton overlay process, it was fun to draw, i bet its fun to paint too.

Stina Persson
Here is a watercolor fashion illustrator that I've admired for a long time. It seems like she must use some resist, or is really super accurate where she lets the water go to, and pretty much just charges in her colors from there. So simply done, so beautiful.

phillippians 4:13
so i have 2 paintings down for both of my watercolour studios.
that means that I've still got 6 paintings total to finish, plus the 8foot painting for Millie's class. I think i will be able to do the 8 foot painting fairly quickly. My only problem is that I do not have space to work on it.
I am going to have to start canceling my obligations in other parts of my life to get this done.
No more going home on the weekends.
No more going to people's houses on sunday after church.
I have to finish 7 paintings total
I have to write a 4 page book report of 2 books
I have to read the 2nd book.
This week:
I have to write 3 extra credit 1 page summary papers.
(Natasha, we need to do this!)
I have to write a short summary of my presentation for Abel's class
I have to start 2 new paintings (And finish?)
Finish a majority of 2nd book.
Begin book report on The Haj - Leon Uris
Keep my TV turned off.
I CAN DO IT!

PS. I'm not going on the museum excursion tomorrow because i just need to have some rest for once!

Artist presentation.
I am having somewhat of a difficult time trying to find pieces done in watercolor by Marlene Dumas. I have found plenty about her, her work, her messages she's trying to convey, etc. But I've noticed that she tends to work more in oils than she does in watercolours.

Hands for humanity.
I came to the conclusion the other day that my painting needed something to speak a little louder than what I had already put into it. So i'm putting hands into it, coming out of the bottom margin, to speak what the eyes of the faces i have in there can't say loud enough. So that being said. I'm using classical hand gestures for teaching, love, peace, blessing, speaking, and waiting.
